Members pay a yearly membership fee of $50 to operate the organization and pay bills. During the calendar year members donate a minimum of $365 that is awarded as grants in the following year. For instance, money collected in 2020 was awarded as grants in 2021 after a rigorous evaluation process that includes at least 25% of the membership.
