SOH IS UNIQUE AMONG NYC ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS IN ENROLLING PROMISING 3RD GRADE STUDENTS AND WORKING WITH THEM THROUGH HIGH SCHOOL GRAUDATION. ALTHOUGH HOUSED CAMPUS OF HORACE MANN SCHOOL WITH ACCESS TO ITS FACILITIES, SOH IS AN INDEPDENDENT 501(C)(3) ORGANIZATION THAT RAISES ITS OWN FUNDS TO OPERATE A HIGH-QUALITY PROGRAM. EACH YEAR, MORE THAN 200 FAMILIES OF 2ND GRADERS APPLY FOR ONE OF 40 SEATS. NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS DEMOSTRATES A GREAT UNMET NEED FOR ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS IN OUR TARGET AREAS.

We award annual grants to deserving graduates of The Lawrenceville School enrolled at US accredited universities. Four students each receive a total of $6,000 in grants each year. Payments are made directly to the accredited universities in the awardees name. Our only expenses are management fees for the endowment and taxes everything else is handled by volunteers.
