Grants to Indiana nonprofit organizations to improve the quality of life for local residents in eligible areas. Funding is intended to support programs and activities within the focus areas of arts and culture, community and economic development, environment, education, animal welfare, food, nutrition, and agriculture, health and human services, housing and shelter, public safety, recreation, religion, and youth. Eligible projects benefit the residents of Crown Point, Cedar Lake, Lowell, and Winfield areas. Grants are primarily awarded to underwrite program expenses or to fund capital expenditures.

Additional Eligibility Criteria
Grants are usually made to non-profit organizations exempt from federal taxation under section 501(c) or 509(a) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Distributions from the Crown Point Community Foundation Endowment Fund shall be limited to projects within the territorial boundaries of Crown Point, Cedar Lake, Lowell, and Winfield in South Lake County.
Not funded:
- Endowments
- Political campaigns, or to support attempts to influence the legislature of any governmental body
Pre-Application Information
Each year, grants are awarded in one of three grant cycles. Grant applications will need to be submitted online by February 1, June 1, or September 1.
Only one grant application per organization or agency will be eligible within a 12-month period.
